Anand Baskaran brings experience in learning and development, as well as the non-profit world. Prior to joining IIHS, Anand worked as Operations Training Manager with a hyperlocal food delivery startup, with a focus on designing and implementing learning journeys for the delivery fleet and operations teams across cities. This stint followed earlier ones with a conflict resolution focused training and consulting organisation, and five years in a not-for-profit organisation based in Bangalore, that promotes and enables volunteering.

 

Anand’s educational background is as a computer science engineer, with his education at BITS-Pilani (Goa campus). At IIHS, Anand creates digital learning courses and other learning material, coordinating between various IIHS teams as well as external subject matter experts. He has coordinated the creation of short learning modules on Water and Sanitation as part of the capacity building efforts of the TNUSSP team, for government officials; helped create and manage two IIHS courses on Coursera, and is currently responsible for learner engagement as well as outreach for IIHS’ online portfolio of courses.

 

Anand is driven by engaging with the possibilities of building a better society through meaningful education and a philosophical approach to life.
