Ketan Bhateja began his career in the Indian Army at OTA Chennai. He obtained his Advanced Strategy qualification from IIM Lucknow and has been working in the social development field for over a decade. Throughout his career, Ketan has gained experience in various social development functions such as corporate social responsibility, donor management, strategic partnerships, project operations, quality assurance, general management, and more, working with non-profit organisations.
He joined IIHS to work with the Practice Programme for strategic initiatives and resource mobilisation for corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds and other grants. Ketan has worked in various areas of social development, from vocational training for marginalised communities to social equity, social infrastructure development, remedial healthcare, remedial education, women’s empowerment through access to primary healthcare, and establishing micro-enterprises. He has worked with organisations like Lok Bharti, Pearson Education, and Apollo Group, which have given him exposure to different demographic groups in India. Ketan started his career at the grassroots level for project operations across various states in India and eventually contributed to organisations with strategic partnerships and strategic development. He has experience working with local/regional NGOs and multinational organisations like Pearson India. He has been instrumental in curating projects for the CSR interventions of corporations as part of his consulting responsibilities with various industries such as healthcare, banking, chemicals, consumer goods, etc.
