Shruti Ghosh is a creative writing graduate from the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Bengaluru, whose work lies at the intersection of the development sector and creative interventions. She has been running her own women-led creative agency, Artists Anonymous, since 2017, and has been working on connecting artists with projects while facilitating fair remuneration.
She is passionate about Hindustani classical music, writing, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Her work ranges from designing and executing residential art workshops in Jharkhand for various NGOs under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, resulting in public murals in the community addressing menstrual health and hygiene in 2019, to creating education modules during the pandemic in 2021 for children in communities in Jharkhand and Odisha, addressing child marriage using body mapping and various other design philosophies, and reimagining libraries in public schools in rural Karnataka for the Edifice Foundation.
More recently, her work on stories of grief during the pandemic was displayed at the Opn Art House Art Exhibit at the Max Mueller Bhavan in Delhi in November 2023. Her other recent work includes working on a maternal health study with the University of British Columbia, designing collaterals for Ghare Baire, the DAG Museum in the old currency building in Kolkata, presenting her paper ‘Shorshe Baata Ilish’, about the relationship between food and Indian history at the Spring School for Centre for Public History amongst others.
In the past she has been invited to perform at various literature festivals across the country like the Goa Arts and Literature Festival in 2016, the Tata Literature Festival in Mumbai in 2017, the Language Festival in Bengaluru in 2018 and the Women Empowerment-India Festival by the Goethe-Institute in 2018.
Shruti’s role at IIHS involves working on physical and digital communication strategy, campaign planning and working on institutional communication collaterals for knowledge dissemination.
