Teaching & Learning
IIHS aims to create interdisciplinary urban practitioners with the right skills to tackle 21st century problems and opportunities arising due to urbanisation.
Research
IIHS undertakes research across several disciplinary clusters. It uses both theory building and applied research to turn knowledge into practice for national development and urban transformation.
Practice
IIHS provides advisory services to the public, local, state and national governments, private firms and international development agencies that work with urbanisation.
Capacity Building
The IIHS Urban Practitioners’ Programme trains practitioners, public sector functionaries and interested citizens on urban themes including housing, sanitation, and climate change.
KNOWLEDGE GATEWAY
The KG is a repository for IIHS publications from research and practice. It includes policy briefs, papers, case studies, reports and public writing.
