Vrashali Khandelwal is part of the Academics and Research team at IIHS, where she focuses on exploring aspects of urban infrastructure, governance, and social protection. Before her tenure at IIHS, Vrashali contributed to a variety of government advisory projects. Her role in the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate programme involved research and implementation of government schemes and policies with the District Administration in Sirsa (Haryana). She has also been a part of the Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital -Education (SATH-E) project, aimed at bringing about systemic educational reforms for Madhya Pradesh’s School Education Department. In 2019, she joined the urban government advisory practice at Ernst & Young (EY) and was involved with multiple practice projects at state and central level. Vrashali was a Fellow of the Urban Fellows Programme at IIHS in 2017–18. Besides work, she loves going for walks and spending her weekends at public parks.
