Vivek Leonard J has over 14 years of quality experience in the training domain, flowing across professional skills, management as well as technical training. He possesses cross-sectoral experience in people development, performance management, skills development, and capacity building. Prior to IIHS, Vivek worked with JDA Software, where he managed People Development needs for the 2,500 employees in India. His core was consulting on training needs, conceiving training plans, programme design and end-to-end deployment. Vivek has also been associated with Hinduja Leyland Finance, Scope International, Tata Consultancy Services and Aol, in similar L&D roles. His work also includes transition and service delivery management for a 62 Member team at TCS, for an outsourced US Client Learning Process. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Mysore, and uses his skills to support professional development and behavioural skills management, through classroom-led programmes, webinars and coaching interventions. His training work has taken him across the country to the key cities in all the states, where he has run training programmes for audiences ranging from junior executives to senior managers and directors. His core interest is in bringing in new-gen learning practices to the people, where learning is not coercion but self-initiated. He has run industry-benchmarked programmes like the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People(Franklin Covey), Situational Leadership II (Ken Blanchard), Crucial Conversations (Vital Smarts), Six Thinking Hats (Edward de Bono), Team Role Models (Belbin), and has worked on interventions on Communication, Story Telling, Problem Solving, Transactional Analysis and Design Thinking.
At IIHS, Vivek is responsible for developing and implementing an organisation-wide Learning & Development strategy that facilitates and drives individual development and capacity building in line with institutional requirements.
