A landscape planner with a background in architecture, Swati has a keen interest in the land-climate nexus. Her research involves foregrounding geo-climatic and socio-ecological understandings through innovative and open collaborative thinking, and critically blending them with interdisciplinary methods (both quantitative and qualitative). She has previously worked on a rural development project in Gujarat and a climate-action research project in Northern Karnataka.
Swati is a co-founder at Green Panther, an initiative which provides nature-based learning resources for children. She aims to pursue green politics to get to the institutional roots of sustainable development.
