Srimoyee Neogi is an External Consultant with the IIHS School of Human Development, where she is learning ways to respond to questions in/of the urban through research and practice. She enjoys the reiterative process of the theory–practice feedback cycle. At IIHS, specifically, she is engaged in work related to care infrastructure. Her interests lie at the intersection of policy, governance, social protection, and culture and society.

 

Before joining IIHS, Srimoyee was a part of the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. During this time, she was stationed in the district of Mon in Nagaland for two years, where she worked closely with the district administration attempting to understand, develop, and implement plans to improve the skilling and livelihoods ecosystem in the district. She has previously also worked with a political consultancy on strengthening local governance and accountability in West Bengal.

 

Srimoyee holds an MA in Social Work (Community Organisation & Development Practices) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
