Smriti brings extensive experience in content development, research communication, and brand strategy across diverse domains, including education, governance, healthcare, and sustainability. She has worked at the intersection of storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and impact-driven communication, ensuring ideas and research resonate across audiences and platforms.

Prior to joining IIHS, Smriti worked at eGov Foundation, where she managed social media for the company and its leadership, alongside internal communication strategies. She developed engaging content that amplified the organisation’s outreach and collaborated with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align messaging across audiences.

Before eGov, Smriti was part of 1M1B (1 Million for 1 Billion), a UN-accredited organisation focused on youth empowerment and advancing the SDG2030 agenda. As the sole communications lead, she designed campaigns, created research-driven content, and partnered with global organisations like IBM and Adobe to highlight programme outcomes and drive visibility.

Smriti’s storytelling is shaped by her travels across India and abroad, where she engaged with people on the ground to capture meaningful narratives of change and impact. These experiences have shaped her ability to produce content that bridges academic insights with accessible and engaging communication.

A graduate of Ashoka University with a BA, Smriti is a reader and film enthusiast who views stories—whether in books, on screen, or in lived experiences—as invaluable tools for learning and connection. At IIHS, she contributes her expertise to research communications, content strategy, and capacity-building initiatives, supporting the institution’s mission to make complex ideas accessible, actionable, and widely understood.
