Sivaraj boasts an impressive career spanning nearly nine years in civil engineering and wastewater treatment. Armed with a diploma and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, he has honed his expertise in the sector.

 

Currently serving as an External Consultant with TNUSSP at IIHS, Sivaraj plays a crucial role in providing technical support for various initiatives. These include the ongoing implementation of FSTPs and STP co-treatment, DEWATS treatment, and support for technical advancements in underconstruction treatment plants. He actively collaborates with government engineers, offering technical support for the preparation of the DPR for the FSTP cum STP plant contributing to the interception and diversion collection conveniences system. He is also involved in co-composting work, capacity building training for government officers, and supporting the monitoring of plant operations and maintenance stances across Tamil Nadu.

 

His background includes a stint as an assistant engineer (civil) in a renowned private sector company in Chennai, where he specialised in the construction of resistant high-rise buildings. He is passionate about soil and water management.
