Sarath M is an architect and environmental planner deeply committed to fostering sustainability-related studies. Sarath possesses a strong background in design and planning, dedicated to shaping environments that promote social equity and environmental responsibility. He has prior experience in designing residential buildings that are affordable and incorporate passive design. At IIHS, he has contributed to studies related to built environments and other domains of infrastructure and research on the incorporation of sustainability-related concepts in the master’s programme curriculum on infrastructure. He is part of the ongoing PMAY-G project. He was also involved in the Tamil Nadu Climate Change Mission (TNCCM)’s workshops on energy-efficient habitats, which aims to enhance awareness among builders and citizens about energy efficiency in housing.
