Sadhana Babuji holds a Master in Research (MRes) in human rights and international politics from the University of Glasgow. She had ardently pursued her MRes to have strong qualitative and quantitative research skills. She has been keen on human rights issues associated with Ambedkarite and Dalit populations. She is keenly invested in gender and development in the Bahujan and Dalit communities. Keeping this research track in mind, she worked as a researcher to enhance local self-governance with technology at Chennai’s Ward 135, a reserved ward for SC/ST women.

 

She has also been a project fellow for the RUnited States of America 2.0 ‘Accessing public utility services at smaller villages of Tamil Nadu, a multidisciplinary project she was assigned to in the Politics and Public Administration Department at the University of Madras.

 

At IIHS, Sadhana is part of the TNUSSP inclusion team. She worked in the HCL Phase I of the Chennai slum sanitation assessment project and part of the Phase II of the HCL project of sanitation assessment at Kannagi Nagar, Chennai.
