Preedip Balaji holds a doctoral degree in library and information science from REVA University, Bengaluru, and graduated with a master’s degree in library and information science from Bishop Heber College, Bharathidasan University. He has been a member of the IIHS Library since 2012. As a library educator and researcher, he received the UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) award in December 2009 and the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan India Scholarship in May 2011. He was a Junior Research Fellow at the Documentation Research & Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute, Bengaluru, and held various positions with IKP Knowledge Park and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Preedip oversees IIHS Library services and offers information services for the academic and research communities. This involves providing reference services, user instruction, community engagement, initiatives for knowledge dissemination and scholarly communication, and information resources management.
