Her interest lies in management systems and capturing data to formulate strategies for business development. She has a firm grasp of the procurement process across the conceptualisation–bidding–contract finalisation stages.
At IIHS, she is responsible for growing the Practice Programme by developing business, networks and communications. Nidhi comes to IIHS from Urban Mass Transit Company—industry leaders in urban transport planning—where she led business development. The organisation grew its order book and sailed through the pandemic during her leadership of business development activities. She was responsible for management of the business development team and its activities, including competitor analysis, market analysis, preparation of yearly budget and cashflow requirements. She has created a comprehensive database and set up processes for business development. Her time management, teamwork, public relations and negotiation skills helped scale up the organisation.
She has previously worked at IPE Global, ideaForge and IL&FS Environmental Infrastructure & Services Ltd. At these organisations, she led business development in the urban infrastructure, sanitation and tourism sectors. She has experience of working on preparation of master plans, route diversion plans for construction of metro lines, parking management plans, road and highways upgradation plans, traffic and transportation planning surveys, and scrutiny of building plans.
Nidhi has an advanced degree in Urban Transport Planning & Management from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and a bachelor’s degree in physical planning from School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi.
She practices yoga and meditation, and likes reading, long walks, food, fashion and styling, music, and talking to people. She’s also trying her hands at aquascaping and gardening.
