Kiran D A has worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Civil Engineering Department of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru, and also as a Research Assistant at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumakuru, for research projects funded by the Govt. of India. He has published 13 research papers in national and international journals and four research papers at national and international conferences. He has also completed four MOOCs on Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development offered by EAWAG, EPFL, and WHO. He is the recipient of the Swachhta Saarthi Fellowship 2021 awarded by the Government of India for his contributions towards waste management. His research areas include waste management, waste to energy conversions, groundwater, and surface water pollution.

 

At IIHS, Kiran is currently working as an associate for solid waste management and environmental services.
