Ishani Debroy is part of the Word Lab at IIHS. She is an associate editor of the IIHS journal Urbanisation, working on manuscript management, first level checks and outreach, and works on planning the programming for City Scripts. She also provides editing and language support to teams at IIHS and teaches writing and editing at the Urban Fellows Programme. She previously worked as an editor with The Clean Copy where she edited articles and reports for organisations like Economic and Political Weekly; Centre for Energy, Environment and Water; Centre for Internet and Society and journals like the Indian Journal for Medical Ethics as well as theses and dissertations for independent scholars. She has a master’s degree in English and interdisciplinary humanities (philosophy and sociology) from the Manipal Centre for Humanities.
