Gargi is an ArchitectUrban-Planner with over five years of experience in urban development and government reforms sectors for research, project management and business development.

 

She has worked in projects related to urban governance, urban physical infrastructure, urban poor and housing, and impact assessment. Her work involved preparing policy documents pertaining to city and state level development programs, such as Smart Cities Mission, Rajiv Awas Yojana, Housing for All, and City Sanitation Plans. Gargi also has extensive experience in working on large engagements funded by donor agencies, preparation of technical bids, and developing teams based on specific requirements. She has worked closely with the Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Odisha, assisting them in formulating legislations and implementing infrastructure projects. She has also assisted in the One Planet City Challenge.

 

At IIHS, she is supporting the Urban Risk & Resilience team and instrumental in setting up the Risk lab.
