Gajanan Hegde has a Master of Science Degree from Karnatak University, Dharwad. His current research interests are in Green Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry.

 

As Senior Associate-Environmental Lab, Gajanan works on assessment of Water and Soil quality at IIHS, Kengeri Campus. He supports the research work of IIHS at Sulikere Forest under the Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) Project in Association with Karnataka Forest Department. He is responsible for day to day management of environmental lab and analysis of water and soil samples.

 

Gajanan previously worked in Sujala III Micro watershed project of Karnataka Watershed department for assessment of Soil quality and Soil mapping. He had been engaged in technical support work in EMPRI for the Projects such as “Intervention of water bodies in Bangalore metropolitan city” and “Water safety plans to Bangalore city” in association with Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority.  His research publications are mainly focused on Green and sustainable methods for synthesis of Nano particles, Eco friendly techniques adapted for synthesis of chemical compounds to reduce Environmental pollution and sustainable growth and study on environmental pollution and climate change.
