Dheeraj Joshi is part of the Academics and Research team at IIHS, where his research interests are exploring the role of real estate in shaping urban spaces and the economic activities within cities. His areas of interest also extend to the political economy of large infrastructure projects, land-based financing, land value capture, and urban governance and policies.

 

Before joining IIHS, Dheeraj worked on various projects within the field of commercial, industrial, and data center-related real estate with real estate advisory firms. His responsibilities included providing strategic guidance to corporates, funds, and developers based on a range of parameters. Additionally, Dheeraj was involved in an interdisciplinary project in Bengaluru, focusing on understanding big data-driven transportation planning and governance.

 

Outside of his professional work, Dheeraj enjoys cycling, hiking and spending time outdoors.
