Anitha K V has attained a master’s degree in library and information science from Jnana Bharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. During her master’s program, she undertook a three-month internship at Christ University Library in Bengaluru. Before pursuing her master’s, Anitha successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in arts (BA) with a focus on political science, economics and history.
In her role at IIHS, as a member of the Library team at the Bengaluru City Campus, she has diverse responsibilities, including journal and magazine subscriptions, cataloguing, and providing information and reference services. Additionally, she is actively involved in coordinating initiatives related to knowledge dissemination and scholarly communication. Anitha is also engaged in familiarising herself with primary and secondary information resources in the field of interdisciplinary social sciences.
Her specific areas of research interest include information retrieval, knowledge management and bibliometrics. This demonstrates her commitment to advancing understanding and practices within the domain of library and information sciences, showcasing a well-rounded academic and professional background.
