Practice
At IIHS, Massimo is part of the research project Adaptation at Scale in Semi-Arid Regions (ASSAR). In parallel, he is conducting research on the potential of Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) in Indian cities, with a focus on Bengaluru.
Massimo is pursuing his MSc in urban planning at UCL, with a specialisation in urban design. His research interests include the role place-making plays in enhancing economic opportunities in developing cities, as well as the potential for green infrastructure and biodiversity in adapting to climate change in urban settings.
Prior to joining IIHS, Massimo undertook an internship with UN-Habitat, NY Office where he had the opportunity to contribute to the organisational work of several high-level conferences. After his internship at IIHS, he will conclude his MSc at the University of Melbourne through an exchange program.
