Her prime research areas are housing, urbanisation, socio-economic development and SDGs. She has submitted her PhD thesis in Geography, Aligarh Muslim University, entitled ‘Housing and household infrastructure and levels of development in Uttar Pradesh: A regional analysis’. She has also worked on water, sanitation and clean energy.
Shaghla’s teaching interest lies in multi-disciplinary geography.
