EDUCATION:

MS, Architectural History and Theory, University of Washington, Seattle;

BArch, University School of Architecture and Planning (GGSIPU), New Delhi

 

Lakshmi’s graduate thesis focused specifically on Indian Modernism and sustainable urbanism in the context of Chandigarh. Her undergraduate dissertation and thesis, examined the idiom of “Indianness” and re-imagined the Nehruvian landscape of Mandi house, New Delhi, forming a broader research interest in post-colonial studies. She has a diverse work experience owing to her internship with Ashok Lall in Delhi, Social Media Internship with Girl Rising in NYC and a Communication Design internship with a digital marketing firm in Bangalore. She has also taught architectural history at CMR SOA, Bangalore.

 

At IIHS, she was supporting social media activities, research, data mining, content for newsletters and other promotional activities.

 

Lakshmi is passionate about gender issues, intersections of cultures and is an Indian classical music enthusiast.
