Jeevanraj S, an environmental management specialist, boasts an extensive 23-year career that spans various pivotal roles and sectors. Presently, he supports Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) initiatives in Tiruchirappalli and the Tamil Nadu Urban Sanitation Support Programme (TNUSSP) in Tamil Nadu and currently serving as the team leader for the Urban Sanitation Capacity Building Programme by TNUIFSL, Government of Tamil Nadu through IIHS. In this role, his responsibilities include closely collaborating with the Knowledge Management team for the preparation of teaching and learning material, contributing to the integration of the Urban Sanitation Curriculum, and executing diverse project management tasks, such as planning, budgeting, training, implementing, monitoring, and supervising and evaluating.

 

He has also served various roles in EPC organisations and government agencies. Jeevanraj has demonstrated his proficiency in capacity building, wastewater treatment, sludge management and sustainable operation of treatment systems. His technical acumen extends to conducting technical audits, designing water and wastewater treatment plants, and overseeing environmental initiatives in diverse industrial settings. Jeevanraj’s dedication to enhancing environmental knowledge and fostering partnerships is evident in his roles as the Head of the Department of Environmental Engineering at KAR Polytechnic College, where he played a crucial role in curriculum development and industry collaboration.
