Abhinav is a planner by profession who is mainly interested in urban development and analysis of urbanisation patterns across the country. His bachelor’s thesis was on Rejuvenation of Lost Urban Spaces which basically aimed to discover specific spaces in the urban area which are either underutilised or existing as a dead urban space. The study area was Bhopal and it involved a lot of research, survey and analysis. Various theories of Urban design were adopted to rejuvenate the dead spaces within the city.
At IIHS, he works with the Urban Practitioners Programme to curate Individual Capacity Building programmes under AMRUT.
