Cyrus Guzdar was Chairman and Managing Director of AFL Private Limited for a quarter century. He serves on the board of a range of companies including BP (India), Great Eastern Shipping Company, Carlson Wagonlit and earlier served on the Air India, Tata lnfomedia, Tata Honeywell and Alfa Laval boards. He was also Chairman of Cll’s National Committee on Transportation and Logistics. He graduated with a Masters in Economics and Oriental Studies from Trinity College, Cambridge. He is associated with several causes of public importance. He co-founded the Bombay Environmental Action Group, which successfully fought for the preservation of Mumbai’s environment. He has been engaged in protecting the natural habitat of vital eco-sensitive areas in Western India via the Bombay Natural History Society. An active heritage conservationist, he set up the first chapter of the Indian Heritage Society in Mumbai and thereafter, the Mumbai Chapter of INTACH Foundation.
