India’s post-1991 transformation has propelled rapid economic growth, infrastructure expansion, and significant urbanization, yet persistent regional disparities and climate vulnerabilities remain. Sustained advancement hinges on inclusive development and the creation of resilient employment opportunities, supported by reliable and affordable material access. Rising material demand, subject to pressures from import reliance and resource constraints, heightens strategic challenges, requiring adaptive and coordinated approaches to balance growth, environmental security, and equity in pursuit of developed country status and long-term prosperity.
