Abstract

Mobility in Adaptation to Climate Change: Science, Evidence and Policy – Summary of Proceedings documents the discussions, evidence and key insights from the international science conference held in London, on 19–20 May 2026. Convening researchers, policymakers, practitioners and civil society organisations, the conference explored the complex relationships between climate change, human mobility and adaptation. Sessions examined migration as adaptation, immobility, planned relocation, urbanisation, resilience, governance, justice and narrative change, drawing on evidence from South Asia and other regions. This volume synthesises the conference’s principal discussions, recommendations and reflections, providing a resource for researchers, practitioners and decision-makers working at the intersection of climate change, mobility and adaptation.
