This training manual has been formulated to build the capacities of government officials and sector practitioners to implement climate‑resilient and inclusive urban water and sanitation systems. It responds to increasing climate stresses such as floods, droughts, heatwaves and sea‑level rise, that disrupt water and sanitation services, damage infrastructure, and deepen existing inequalities in cities, especially for low‑income groups, women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalised communities. In addition to positioning climate‑ready water and sanitation as a technical challenge, this three-day training programme places it as a core pathway to sustainable, liveable and just urban futures.
