Abstract
Rapid Survey of Children (2013-14) have proven the relative performance of under-five tribal children as compared to rural children: both all-India and Karnataka figures indicate that tribal children fare much worse. In Karnataka, tribal groups comprise 7 per cent of the state’s population and there is about 50 different tribal groups live in Karnataka, including primitive groups as classified by Government of India.
