Varun Aparanji, a professional in the field of civil engineering, currently holds the role of External Consultant for Campus development at IIHS, focusing on urban development and construction.

 

In his current capacity at IIHS, Varun plays a pivotal role in campus development activities. His responsibilities include managing running account bills against measurements, preparing consolidated bill statements, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for upcoming projects. Varun has been actively involved in the execution of various works, such as tunnel construction, paver road construction, machan, and steel and concrete quantity analysis. His role also extends to vendor management.

 

Prior to his tenure at IIHS, Varun worked as an AutoCAD designer at Right Angle Architects and Designers, where he created detailed drawings, working plans, 2D elevations, site executions, electrical and plumbing drawings, BOQ, and interior drawings. He is proficient in various software tools, including Autocad, Sketchup, Staadpro, and Cypecad.

 

Varun completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Rao Bahadur Y Mahabaleshwarappa College of Engineering, with a CGPA of 8.16. He completed Class XII at Prerana PU College, Hubballi, securing 81.56%, and Class X at Bethel English Medium High School, Gangavathi, securing 86.08%.

 

Varun actively engages in extracurricular activities and community service. He has served as an event manager and lead generator in the Civil-tech forum for building materials, participated in the PMAY-U quiz competition organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and contributed to rural household problem identification under the LEAD Foundation. He has also participated in inter-college level table tennis tournaments.
