Shilpa S P holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Kerala and qualified for the UGC-NET exam in 2023. She has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the same university.
Previously, she led the Library at the Prof. N. Krishna Pillai Foundation, Thiruvananthapuram, which is an affiliated research centre of the University of Kerala for two years. During her tenure, she managed the collection development with a focus on modern Malayalam language and literature and handled the institutional repository system for archiving. Her research interests are information retrieval and library management and has published in this subject area.
At IIHS, she participates fully in all library activities, collaborating with the library team to support circulation, acquisition, reference services, and user instruction.
Shilpa finds joy in reading, singing, and discovering new places during leisure.
