Iswarya R is a capacity building professional in the urban development sector. At the IIHS Urban Practitioners’ Programme, she is involved in curating and facilitating individual capacity building programmes for government officials, mentoring fellows, and developing capacity building frameworks for public institutions. Iswarya works on the themes of liveable cities, urban transport and mobility, disaster risk and resilience, impact of planning policies, and SDGs. She is an Indian Green Building Council Accredited Professional (IGBC–AP).

 

Iswarya holds a master’s degree in city planning from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and earned her bachelor’s architecture degree from VNIT Nagpur. She has presented on healthy cities, policies and sustainable tourism development at international conferences.
