Juny K Wilfred is a visual designer. His work has predominantly been in the space of school education and classroom pedagogy and has spanned across various subjects and themes. His work explores the confluence of education, technology and design, and has spanned across media (print-film-digital-physical model), and processes (conceptualisation-design-development). Juny is particularly passionate about designing for children and has spent time volunteering as a teacher at schools in remote communities. In other roles, Juny has been closely associated with science communication and outreach.

At IIHS, Juny explores new and different formats for pedagogy and learning materials for online learning—particularly exploring formats such as images, film, comics etc. for scholarly discourse. Within the Digital Blended Learning team, he plays the role of a visualiser and a critical design thinker.

Juny nurtures a keen interest in arts, design for sustainability, and hands-on projects (build-repair-modify). He has a penchant for children’s books and is always keen regarding any community/collaborative design or problem-solving projects. He is interested in exploring the role of design and design thinking in education, communication and interaction, and how these can contribute towards improving learning, understanding and cognition.
