EDUCATION:

2018    Integrated MTech, Geoinformatics, Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi

 

Avinash earned his Integrated M Tech degree in Geoinformatics from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi year 2018. The 5-year long program developed profound knowledge in remote sensing and GIS, and their varied applications, focusing on the natural resource management.

 

He got an opportunity to work for the Namami Gange project in National Institute of Technology Patna, back in year 2016, which enhanced his real-world problem-solving skills.

 

As a part of bachelor’s dissertation work, he worked on ‘Flood Mapping and Risk Assessment using Geospatial Techniques for Kosi region’. He did his final master’s dissertation work on ‘Agricultural Drought Monitoring using Vegetation, Soil-Moisture, Temperature 3-D Space Index and Drought Risk Mapping for Bihar State.’

 

Avinash is an Intern in the Geospatial Lab, working on the Higher Education Atlas Project and is also a part of the Academics and Research team at IIHS Bengaluru.
