Abhinaw Kumar

Abhinaw is an electrical and electronics engineer by profession and joins the Campus Development Team at IIHS after 14 years of service in the Indian Navy. During his stint with the Navy, he undertook a wide range of challenging assignments across the Indian maritime footprint, serving in various leadership, technical management, project management and training roles. His experience includes the maintenance, upkeep, testing, and tuning of sophisticated electrical and electronic equipment such as radars, sonars, weapon systems, power generation and distribution systems, and power management systems. He was also involved in managing technical projects for the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. Abhinaw has also served as an instructor at INS Valsura, Jamnagar, the Indian Navy’s premier electrical training base, where he received the best instructor award for his effective instructional skills. Academically, Abhinaw holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication and master’s from IIT Bombay in Electronic Systems. Before retiring from the Navy, he further added new skills in International Business Management at IIM Indore. Outside of work, Abhinaw enjoys playing cricket, volleyball, and badminton, and his hobbies include sketching and handicrafts.
