Preedip graduated with a master’s degree in library and information science in 2007 from Bishop Heber College, Bharathidasan University. He has over ten years of work experience in library and information science practice and research. He was a Senior Research Fellow at Documentation Research & Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore. Earlier, he had worked with ICICI Knowledge Park and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad for 3 years.
He got the UGC–NET Junior Research Fellowship Award in December 2009 and the Goethe-Institute/Max Mueller Bhavan India Scholarship in May 2011. At IIHS, Preedip is responsible for setting up the library and initiating information services for the IIHS academic and research community. This involves providing reference services, initiatives of knowledge dissemination and information resources management.
With a few published papers to his credit, his research areas of interests are knowledge organisation, digital libraries and semantic web. His hobbies are reading, writing poetry and travelling.
