In his Master’s dissertation, he examined the awareness of open educational resources among faculty and students of University of Madras, as a user study. His areas of research interest are Digital libraries, Open access resources, Library automation, Classification and cataloguing. He qualified for the UGC NET exam for Lectureship held in November 2017.
Sanmati’s hobbies are gardening, playing cricket and reading books.
