Shreya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Ethiraj College for Women (2017–2020) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics from the Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics (2020–2021). She brings 1.5 years of experience from Dvara Research, where she was involved in developing a market monitoring tool for digital payments utilising social media analytics and topic modeling. Her work at Dvara Research also encompassed various research and practice projects focused on digital financial inclusion for low-income individuals, data privacy, and digital financial fraud.
At IIHS, Shreya is a part of the Urban Informatics Lab. She has contributed to several projects, including a practice project with the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), involving the design and execution of a comprehensive study of 10,000 households and 15,000 workers to analyse the spatial distribution of employment and income categories in the Chennai Metropolitan Area. Additionally, she has been involved in the measurement of the informal economy in Karnataka, providing insights for the Karnataka Labour Policy Committee.
