Amit Mohapatra

Amit Mohapatra heads the Urban Practitioners’ Programme at IIHS. He is a seasoned management professional with strong leadership experience in running executive education and capacity building programmes across multiple institutions. Over a seven-year tenure at O.P. Jindal Global University (IOE), Amit spearheaded the growth of their executive education business as the Director of Jindal Institute of Leadership Development and Executive Education. Amit also helped establish and grow the Management Development Program at the Jaipuria Institute of Management. In his most recent role at Timespro, Amit served as Senior General Manager of Enterprise Sales (PSU & PSB).

With a career spanning 23 years, Amit has worked extensively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including private sector entities, public sector corporations, and government organisations. He has significant experience in CSR fund-raising for training, bidding, and empanelment processes, and outbound international programmes. He also brings strong experience in business strategy formulation, planning and implementation, large-scale project management, team leadership, enterprise and B2B sales, setting up new verticals, and expanding organisational footprints into new markets.

Amit holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialisation in marketing and finance from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. He is also a continuing PhD candidate at O.P. Jindal University (IOE), Sonipat.

As a dedicated leadership team member, Amit is committed to driving sales growth and managing change as a visionary, thereby creating revenue in highly competitive markets. He is credited with transforming teams into highly productive resources by altering employee behaviour and maintaining industry awareness to build strategies that preserve market share and satisfy customer needs.
