Vidya Jindal

Vidya Jindal has a strong background and interest in strategic HR, organisational development, leadership and competency development, coaching and emotional intelligence. A graduate from Asia’s premier B-School, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Vidya brings to IIHS her rich experience in operational roles, a first-hand top management perspective of business issues and in-depth experience in defining and implementing organisational development, HR and learning strategy at the organisational level.

In a corporate career spanning more than two decades, Vidya has played varied roles across multiple functions. In her last corporate position as President – HR and OD at Tata Interactive Systems, Vidya was in charge of the HR and Learning functions across the global organisation. Alongside her corporate career, Vidya has also enjoyed being involved in teaching and training whenever the opportunity arose. She has taught at IIM Bengaluru and IIM Udaipur and has considerable experience in training and instructional design.

Vidya is a certified Assessor for the Tata Business Excellence Model (an adaptation of the Malcolm Baldridge Model) and has been involved in the assessment of multiple companies within the Tata Group. She is also a certified Coach (accredited by the International Coach Federation) with an additional accreditation in emotional intelligence and has engaged in formal coaching programmes for middle and senior level executives to help achieve performance enhancement, leadership development and business results.

As Chief People Officer at IIHS, Vidya heads the People Function and is responsible for all institutional approaches, practices and policies that impact the most valued asset of IIHS, its pool of highly talented staff and faculty. Apart from being part of the IIHS Management Team that defines and steers institutional strategy and growth, she also provides change leadership to HR and learning systems in line with changing strategic needs.
