A seasoned administrator with professional experience spanning over 25 years, Flt. Lt. Mukti Srivastava is a woman of many firsts to her name. She created aviation history with her appointment as the first woman officer to be commissioned in the Air Traffic Controlling branch of the Indian Air Force. During her tenure she served in the Kargil War and Pokhran operations. Following her exciting tenure in the Indian Air Force, Mukti ran India’s first all woman-operated CNG station located at Shantipath in Delhi.
In her corporate career, Mukti has played strong leadership roles in reputed organisations such as HCL Technologies, General Electric Corporation and Zee Media Corporation Limited. She has managed operations in multiple locations across India for facility services like office space management, and travel and utilities management to ensure business continuity. At General Electric, Mukti ran operations for the John F. Welch Technology Centre, the organisation’s multi-business research and development centre in Bengaluru, and the biggest technology centre for the company globally. She headed the facilities team to manage an array of services for about 300 laboratories of the centre and was responsible for the wellbeing of about 5,000 researchers and technologists. In recent years, Mukti has been Co-Founder & Director at Sudaksha Management Solutions, a leading professional consulting organisation for a wide range of services in the domains of engineering and technology, occupational safety, health and environment protection.
At IIHS, Mukti heads the Administration function and oversees the management of facilities, event management, procurement and security across five locations pan-India. She also plays a key role in building the IIHS Bengaluru City Campus into a vibrant research and teaching-learning environment and pilot sustainability initiative, in preparation for the development of a state-of-the-art residential campus at Kengeri.
Mukti is an avid athlete and an international badminton player. Her record for winning Meerut University’s Badminton Championships consecutively for six years is still intact. She represented India at the BWF Senior World Badminton Championships held in Spain in December 2021.
