Kishore V. Mariwala
Kishore V. Mariwala is a member of the IIHS board.
Kishore holds a Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering from UDCT (now known as Institute of Chemical Technology), Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering Practice from MIT.
Kishore was executive director of Bombay Oil Industries and spent his entire professional career with companies promoted by the Mariwala family, including Marico Ltd. He was the president of the Indian Chemical Manufacturers’ Association, the Oil Technologists Association and is a board member of the Marico Innovation Foundation. He has served as a UNIDO and UNESCAP expert and was a visiting professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He has also served as a member of the research councils of India’s National Chemical Laboratory and Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute.
Kishore was one of India’s pioneers in the manufacture of oleo chemicals and extraction of spice extracts.
Kishore’s current interests and activities are Hindustani classical music, yachting, farming and travelling. Kishore represented India in yachting in the 1982 Asian Championships and was the manager of the Indian yachting team for the 1982 Asian Games.
