Urban ARC is the Annual Research Conference of the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS). The eighth edition of the conference was conducted virtually and in person from 11 to 13 January 2023 and focussed on the theme ‘Unpacking Marginalities’. The panels and sessions explored, built on and continued ongoing conversations around the dynamism of marginalities that urban spaces have grown to house, bringing together various methods, questions asked, geographies covered, disciplines explored, and outcomes reached. These Conference Proceedings feature the extended abstracts submitted by the selected participants for Urban ARC 2024.
