Abstract
Tamil Nadu has 664 cities and towns, of which 50 have full or partial access to networked sanitation systems. Fecal sludge generated from households which depend on onsite sanitation systems is often not treated and discharged in a sage manner. Tamil Nadu Urban Sanitation Support Programme, is helping the government of Tamil Nadu to enable co-treatment in ULBs with a functional Sewage Treatment Plant.
