Ruby’s interests lie in equitable and sustainable development, land governance, and rural-urban linkages. She began her career with a private consultancy firm, providing assistance in preparing Master Plans. She then got an opportunity to explore the other dimensions of Planning such as rural and regional planning while working in Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission at the School of Planning and Architecture. The project involved preparation of Integrated Cluster Action Plans for the rural clusters selected for the Mission’s Phase I & II and additionally helped frame ‘Model Land Use & Service Level Benchmarks with appropriate Enforcement Mechanisms in RURBAN Clusters’.

At IIHS, Ruby works on projects related to land governance and its administration. She supports a project titled ‘Assessment of Delhi Land Administration’, which aims to provide assistance to the Government of NCT Delhi.
