Nishtha provides editorial and publication support to researchers at IIHS. She specialises in editing long-form academic/research writing and developing book-length works. She supports a larger editorial collective in bringing out the biannual IIHS journal, Urbanisation, for which she anchors the editorial workflow and peer-review process.  


Prior to IIHS, Nishtha worked with Yoda Press, an independent publishing house based in Delhi, where she was involved in editing academic and narrative non-fiction titles, and overseeing the book production process. Besides helping manuscripts become books, she managed author contracts, rights and permissions for the Press. 


Nishtha has also worked as an independent editor with several organisations like UNDP, Centre for Urban and Regional Excellence, Population Council, GIZ and UNODC, as well as with scholars and researchers.
