Nandini is an architect, planner and researcher. She completed her Bachelor’s in Architecture with a gold medal award from Manipal University, Manipal. After working as an Architect in Bengaluru, Nandini pursued her interest in child-friendly and universal design through projects for a sensory garden’ for children with disabilities. She worked on projects with Caritas-CCAMH in Battambang, Cambodia and Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital in Chengalpet, India.


 She went on to complete a Master’s in International Planning and Sustainable Development in 2018 from the University of Westminster, London. During this time, she focused on her research interest in inclusive and responsive places. Her dissertation centred around gendered mobility and women’s safety in public spaces and public transit of Indian cities. Her other areas of focus include participatory planning, capacity building and universally accessible design, informed by experience and study of cultures around the world.


Nandini also worked with Max Lock Center in the field of urban consultancy and research.
