Namrata Nirmal is an associate editor of Urbanisation, IIHS’ biannual journal published by Sage Publications. She handles initial evaluations, editing, and outreach for the journal. As part of the Word Lab, she provides editorial support for book publications and grey literature. She also assists with the programming for City Scripts, an annual urban writings festival, and teaches writing in the Urban Fellows Programme.

 

Namrata holds an integrated MA in English Studies, with a minor in Development Studies, from IIT Madras. Her thesis explored the literary representation of women in the city, with a focus on Indian English fiction.
