With an educational background in commerce and economics, Mamta began her professional journey as a business journalist at Deccan Herald. From 2015 to 2018, she covered developments in ecommerce, startups, venture capital and all things digital in the startup capital of India.
Following this, she led the content marketing strategy for the launch of (then) Asia’s biggest brewpub in Bengaluru. As AGM – Marketing, she worked on content creation for brand positioning, along with digital marketing strategy for several brand activation campaigns and events.
After a short stint as Creative Director at a Bengaluru-based marketing agency, she joined the National Law School of India University as a communications associate to anchor their communication efforts. Along with developing a strong digital media presence for the benefit of students, faculty, researchers and alumni, she handled strategy for pioneering campaigns at the university, including the launch of a UGC programme and a global alumni engagement initiative during the pandemic.
Her exploraratory interests are in the fields of digital consumer behaviour, digital innovation, and the green technology and sustainability market, especially where content meets analytics. Outside work, Mamta’s days are about a good read, a good song, a strong cup of coffee and a baking oven.
